A Dolphin of Many Colors, by Jennifer Semro, is a short adventure story about a young man and a dolphin that gives us insightful perspective into the world of both wild and captive dolphins, a sensitive exploration of both friendship and exploitation. This book is an entertaining and provocative exploration of a dolphin's experiences, some that we would give much to share, and others we to would give anything to avoid. Paperback, 1997, Dolphin Defenders, P.O. Box 933, Bonita Springs, FL 34133.

Marine Mammals of Southern Brazil, by José Truda Palazzo Jr. (CSI's Brazil Representative), Paulo André Flores, and Marcelo Ruschel, is a manifesto in defense of wildlife, told through the detailed facts, entrancing experiences, and superb photographs offered by these three experts. This book will be exciting to anyone with an interest in marine life, and valuable to anyone with concerns for the future of marine life. Paperback, 47 bilingual pages (Portuguese and English), published by Mares do Sul, Florianópolis, 1997.
