Daniel Knaub is a dedicated Cetacean advocate for over 30 years. He has worked on a number of projects including:
Dan's unbridled enthusiasm for whales began in the mid-80s sparking a journey from Mellon Bank to Stellwagen Bank. As Founder and Owner of the Whale Video Company and Executive Director of the Whale and Marine Life Video Archive, Dan has produced dozens of DVDs sharing the unique personalities of named humpback whales while earning several Telly Awards.
Dan's video archive is widely regarded as the world's largest collection of humpback whale behaviors. His contributions to whale conservation efforts include visual aids for NGOs at several meetings of the International Whaling Commission, Google Ocean contributions, fundraising DVDs for whale adoption programs for CSI, WDC and IFAW as well as contributing footage narrated by Walter Cronkite to assist in the Capital Appeal for the National Marine Life Center.
