CSI's Grant Program

Save Whales: Invest in People should be the title of CSI's Grant Program, which since 1978 has assisted several hundred people who have helped cetaceans through science, education or conservation projects. Just for the fun of it, below is a list of some of the people and organizations CSI has invested in, and where the project was. In addition to small cash grants, we've given cameras, radios, binoculars, GPS units, parachute knives, even a Zodiac inflatable boat, dry suit, whale rescue pontoons, and in December, another laptop computer. While we invest in people with specific needs, our focus is on their future lives, which we hope will provide valuable contributions to the knowledge and welfare of cetaceans. The results have been startling, impressive beyond any expectations. This system works, and your support of CSI helps to keep it alive. We're not bringing it up here to boast, but because we hope that this example will stimulate others to find and help the people who can make a difference. We are proud to consider them friends, to have watched them excel, and to have seen the effects their lives have had on human knowledge and conservation of cetaceans and the seas. We apologize to anyone we've left out, and for spelling mistakes.
