American Cetacean Society Conference. Whales In Today's World: Bridging
Science, Policy & People, November 8-11, 1996 at Double Tree Hotel, Los
Angeles WorldPort, San Pedro, California. The purpose of the conference is to
promote a common understanding of cetaceans and the most current issues
concerning them. ACS will continue its tradition of presenting scientific
information in an accessible format for the general public. The theme of
bridging the perspectives of science, policy and people will be used to
explore some of the complex issues surrounding cetaceans today. For more

Keiko on the Discovery Channel. "The Free Willy
Story - Keiko's Journey Home" will tell the story of Keiko, the orca featured
in the movie Free Willy. Air times are October 28 at 8:00 P.M. and midnight,
and November 3 at 4:00 P.M.
