Jacques-Yves Cousteau

We have been deeply saddened by the death of Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau on June 25th in Paris at the age of 87. Perhaps no other single person has done so much to raise global consciousness and arouse the conscience of humankind regarding the environment, the oceans and their living inhabitants, and the rights of future generations. May his spirit continue to inspire and lead us in the great struggle for a more enlightened humanity to save the planet from the self-imposed depredations of humankind itself.
