Tree hugger, whale head, distance swimmer and activist, Patti has devoted herself to animals, education and the planet since childhood. Born and raised in Connecticut, USA, she has lived in the Hawaiian Islands and Abu Dhabi, UAE to campaign for and educate about animal and environmental rights issues.

She holds a Masters degree in Education with a focus on transformative dialogue and discussions, and a state certification in Comprehensive Special Education for Pre- Kindergarten through grade twelve. Specialties include compassionate education, grant writing, photojournalism, innovative program development, curriculum writing and alignment to standards and professional development on Inclusion and ocean literacy.

Co-Founder of CSI's Marine Animal Survival Team (MAST), Patti has volunteered thousands of hours for local, state and federal marine animal emergency response programs. She has published for the Honolulu and Boston Examiner, the Hartford Courant, Whales Alive! and is creator of Everyone Can Write About Whales, a comprehensive writing program proven to increase scores in written expression on K- 12 mastery tests.

Her motto: "No one can do everything, but everyone can do something."
